Justin Duininck began his journey at MSUM in Fall of 2014, pursuing a degree in Computer Science and later he transferred into the School of Journalism and Communication, where he found his footing as a student. Justin graduated from MSUM in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Leadership Studies. Through his time as an undergrad he achieved multiple Dean’s List awards for academic excellence and a chance to be an inducted member of Lambde Pi Eta.  Justin is now working on obtaining his master’s degree from MSUM in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in student affairs. His long term goals are to give back to students struggling in college.

Alongside his studies Justin also works as a Graduate Assistant in the Ed. Leadership department under Dr. Renee Harmon and Dr. Aaron Peterson. Justin was hired as a student Graduate Assistant to supplement the growth of the Leadership Lab. His primary responsibilities are to help create, maintain and expand The Leadership Lab and its media avenues. He attends fairs and conferences on behalf of the Lab, educating people on the work they are doing.

When not working or studying, Justin enjoys the outdoors. Born and raised in Minnesota, he loves spending time with friends and family out by the lake or around a bon fire during the summer evenings.  In the winter, Justin trades in summer hobbies for his snowboard – and can be found hitting up the slopes with friends. More importantly than all those things, his favorite times are spent with his niece and nephew, Quinn and Rhett.
